NaMo's Pak Strategy for Dummies

A lot of people including fans of Narendra Modi seem puzzled on Narendra Modi's strategy to take on Pakistan ...

To understand NaMo's Pak strategy one need to understand the raison d'ĂȘtre of Pak's existence as a state

1) Network of friends - Pakistan is a failed state that acts as a mercenary for other other foreign powers for its own survival.

2) Non- State actors to protect sovereignty - Pakistan relies on bunch of non state actors to maintain it own territorial integrity. From Pak occupied Kashmir to borders with Afghanistan, its the non-state actors that maintain the territorial integrity of Pakistan

3) Hatred for India and the quest to annex Kashmir - Hatred for India which his often expressed as a quest to annex Kashmir binds the Pakistanis.

A a state Pak is not bound bound by any ideology but a few artificial hinges that keep the state together.

NaMo's Pak strategy is to is strike hard at roots of Pakistan

1) Isolate Pakistan - With only one friend remaining i.e. China , Pakistan has a limited utility as an ally to anyone.

2) Support Balouch / Gilgit rebels - It is widely believed that the NDA government offered covert support to rebels within Pak. NaMo has made this strategy very overt as witnessed in the Independence Day speech.

3) Economic Breakdown - With fewer friends , Pak cannot even afford a limited scale war. A limited conflict will bankrupt a failed state. India cannot only afford a war but would also yield political dividends as the nation will unite behind NaMo.

Isolating and Breaking up of Pak has already commenced , its not if but when will NaMo declare war.......

Mauka Mauka for the Enemy Within

Two things unite a nation as diverse as India - culture and cricket. When any nation takes part in a world tournament and does well very in the initial stages, one would expect the people of that nation to back the team .... Over the past few weeks we had many intellectuals and prominent media houses hoping that India looses the semi finals against Australia ... It started with noted sociologist Ashis Nandy .... According to Nandy, India is suffering from too much national pride and winning the world cup will make it worse... This was followed by a national poll by a leading print magazine Outlook which asked .. "Should India win the World Cup ? "  You can take the survey here Outlook not only echoed Nandy's sentiments but went on to add that "winning the world cup might just make India's macho and hyper masculine nationalism more intense. Over the last few months, there seems to have been an effort to make a pluralistic India into a homogeniz...

BJP Karyakarta has Won

The earliest memory I have of a BJP karyakarta was of my mother''s colleague and friend called as Rajani aunty . Rajni aunty and her family were dedicated, committed karyakartas of the RSS, Jan Sangh and then the BJP.  Their commitment was so complete that they made every contribution they could - tan, man and dhan. Even in the 1980's when the BJP was a very young party, Rajani aunty and her family stood like a steady rock. When Vajpayee lost in the 1984 election, there were tears in her eyes. Rajani aunty used to work as a professor at the Sophia college in Mumbai. Once she asked a rather innocent question in the GK paper - "Who is the founder of the RSS ? ". The secular Catholic management took a very hard view and she was forced to quit her job. For 2 years she did not have a job but never once regretted her commitment to the ideology. Through her trials , she always stood by the Sangh. Her family for generations and decades stood by the Sangh no matte...
