In 2012 a movement was born with a promise to fight corruption and de-centralize governance. Swaraj and Lokpal were the words that defined the movement. The movement did well to awake the conscience of the country and its political class. Every social movement ends up with a political avatar to monetise its gains and thus AAP was born.
Many expected that Swaraj and Lokpal would define the ideology of the party. The first Kejriwal government was defined not by Swaraj or Lokpal but by Opportunism & Anarchy. Kejriwal joined forces with the Congress for the sake of power; instead of governance we got anarchy and in-experience. Chaos and confusion were the hallmarks of the first Kejriwal government. Opportunism got the better of AAP and they ditched Delhi to pursue their own ambitions.
The country punished AAP and they lost deposits in most of the seats that they contested elections in 2014. Kejriwal apologised and begged for another chance. Having invested so much in the movement , people were generous enough to forgive Kejriwal. The reason for voting him in was - 'Lets give him one chance ....'
Post the 2015 win, Kejriwal turned into a Stalin and Mao who used his powers not to fight corruption but his own men and women. AAP turned into an arrogant, abusive force which would purge anyone who would question or criticise its supreme leader.
The arrogant, abusive force soon changed character ... it now became a symbol of corruption, fraud and mis-governance. Ministers were found be ace fraudsters who run a fake degree rackets;ministers were caught taking bribers from builders. Crores of public are being spent on samosas for AAP volunteers ,500 crores on party propaganda and plum posts for chamchas. AAP governance model is to convert public money for private party use and reward themselves with 400% hikes.
As if corruption, fraud , mis-governance was not enough we have a new face of AAP emerging - a sexist primitive party that thinks of women as unattractive and undesirable if they are not sexually active. According to AAP , the worth of a woman is her ability to sexually gratify men. This mindset is seen in Punjab where according to AAP's own MLAs , sex for tickets is being institutionalised. Cases of rape, sexual abuse and domestic violence are common cases against AAP party leadership.
From Swaraj to Sex, the party now stands for all that is wrong in politics.
As this evolution of AAP goes on, Arvind Kejriwal is busy visiting spas, tweeting on movies and abusing Modi.
