Terror groups such as ISIS often use death as an ideological tool. The sickening videos that the group puts out are a means to spread their ideology to the believers and warn/shock the non-beleivers.
One would never expect a political party to leverage similar means. Hence the alleged 'suicide' of farmer in the presence of thousands of people and barely meters away from stage where the AAP leadership was present has shocked the nation.
Here's how the events unfolded ... Gajendra Singh who comes from a family which owns large tracks of land (more than 25 bigas) was a wannabe politician .... after a brief stint with SP , he joins AAP.
According to Gajendra's family, he decided to attend the #AAPKisanRally at the invitation of the Dy. CM of Delhi - Manish Sisodia .....
Next, Gajendra Singh attempts suicide in full public view... at the time speeches from AAP leaders are in progress ... watch Kumar Vishwas's reaction as he is informed of the attempted suicide.
And then the reaction of Kejriwal & Sisodia
Gajendra Singh is rushed to the hospital by Delhi police .... now the battle moves to Twitter ....
AAP leader Somanth Bharati tweets ....
Next ...AAP MLA Alka Lamba declares Gajendra Singh dead even before the doctors make a statement
Poor Gajendra is dead but the mood at the AAP rally remains upbeat
Now its time for a press conference ....... National spokesperson of AAP informs the nation that next time "Kejriwal will climb the tree to save people". You can read a detailed report here.
Then a 'suicide note' is found.... and here is the reaction of the family
As every political party wants to position itself as 'the most' farmer friendly party, AAP needed something dramatic to stand out from the rest... what can be more dramatic than death .... in full public view and live for TVs ....
History of communist movements often cite that anarchism and death are the price you pay for a revolution........ sadly its always the life of innocents at stake...

Nice collection of events about AAP's dirty politics!
ReplyDeleteBefore Alka's tweet images, its Gajendra not Giriraj Singh.
