Lots of people around the world are analysing if India can even fight the mighty China.
To them, I would like to offer a couplet from Iqbal
In a world in which ancient Greece, Egypt, and Rome have all vanished
Our own attributes (name and sign) live on today.
There is something about our existence for it doesn't get wiped
Even though, for centuries, the time-cycle of the world has been our enemy.
Indian civilisation is perhaps the only civilisation that has been fighting and surviving since 2000 years.
1) Alexander the Greek(not Great) fought with us, he won a battle but lost the will to fight.
2) It took the Mughals more than 400 years of fighting with us to cover a distance from Afghanistan to Delhi. We lost everything - temples destroyed, women sold in slave markets but we kept fighting with the only tool we had left - our Itihaas. We told stories from Ramayana and Mahabharat to every child with intention of creating an army of heroes. Heros were born - Maharana Pratap, Shivaji and many others who put an end to the Mughal empire.
3) We then fought economic wars and lost to the British. After enduring massacres and famine, one again Bhagwad Gita showed the way to Tilak and Gandhi and we fought back.
4) After independence we were told that our culture was inferior and outdated. Since then we have been fighting a civilisational/culture war. After 70 years of fighting, we put a chai wala in charge.
Who thinks we are afraid to fight...... Bring it on, we have been preparing for the next fight for the last 2000 years.
